Agreed. I see tremendous potential for a great airline.

To say that the pilot group is generally unhappy here is a bit of a stretch. Things could certainly be better though. My biggest thing would be to see more efficient lines. More days off and higher credit like republic or PSA does it

False. People want a fun place to work (southwest). I have received more than a couple referrals from APC readers. Make people laugh and they will come.

Overall, I'd say Piedmont is a good place for a new hire to come right now. It's not great, but it's a good choice for someone looking for career progression. By the end of next year, our flow number per month should increase by 2-3 pilots. So flow is still very reasonable for someone getting hired today.
I know that some people aren't happy that after 3 weeks, we still don't have the new Endeavor rates. Those will come sooner rather than later. AA learned how their regional feed was affected 2 years ago when there was a pay shift, and I doubt they want to deal with the same problem again.
The QoL stuff will definitely be brought up in the new negotiations between the union and the company in January. We've got lots of line pilots with plenty of industry experience who are in our union, and they deal with the same stuff we all deal with every day.
Also, if flyjustin's Piedmont socks aren't enough to keep this place fun, I don't know how we'll get new hires in the door!

Does anyone see upgrade times increasing dramatically next year? Seems like there is a final number of 145s, at least for the time being, and we have more than enough pilots to staff them.

I really hope you wind up being correct but I think we'll be lucky to add even 2 to the flow number. Unless we start doing more than just one class a month of max 20 people, the numbers just don't seem to add up.

Which in that case we are also getting E175’s, 190’s, a base in every major city in US, and mainline pay. Oh yeah dont forget merger with Envoy.
