So the original thread started something like this,

"Saw an ad for Beechjet FO's on willflyforfood.com. Ad says they will consider anyone with 500TT or more and they pay $44,000/year. Sounds like a great opportunity!"

What company hires Beechject FO's with 500TT? What company hires anyone with less than 500TT? Besides flight schools? No one does.
This forum is here to help. By all means, apply and find out for yourself. Come back here afterwards and post how it is. If you don't like the answers to the questions your getting? Go and research it yourself. IF I were interested in working there, I would call the local FSDO and find out about them. Research the company yourself. Find out the tail numbers and who the Chief Pilot is. See if they have had any FAA findings against them. Talk the the FBO. You can find out a lot about a company by talking to the companies they deal with.
But again, this forum is here to help. There are already members in here chiming in to stay away?,,,take it with a grain of salt.

I'm sure you've done that with all your jobs, because you're a superior pilot who does superior research before going to his superior jobs. However many hours you have, you must be working as a 747-400 captain right now making 600,000 dollars a year, because you call the FSDO and demand explanations before you work anywhere. Anyone who's ever had a bad job or worked at a company that they didn't like must be less than you.

No offense, but I think you just made his point Johnny.

It's like your father (mother, or any older adult) giving you advise for life. Most will laugh and mock, then find out on their own. It's all part of growing up, and everyone has brushed off GOOD advise.

there are some lesson that must just be learned, and every young person has ignored good advise. I say "live and learn".

It doesn't mean you will be black balled for life, but when you move on, you will reflect (as these posters are attempting to do for you) and base your future decisions on past experiences.

Why does every post you make give me the impression your more and more of a jerk? I'm really not trying to be mean here, but you seem like you really want to "have it out" with someone over this job posting. I know what its like to be searching in vein for a job as a low-time pilot. It isn't fun and its very disheartening when nothing comes along. Then someone dangles a morsel of hope in the form of a "too good to be true" job opportunity in front of your face. Your so hungry for work at this point that you just want to jump at it and grab it. Well guess what?... This morsel has poison written all over it and your a sucker if you buy into what this company is selling. But, like I've stated in previous posts... By all means, don't take anyone else's word for it. Go find out and report back to us how it went. It seems like that is the answer you are looking for anyway.

I've got an idea, instead of this escalating more and more... Why don't you post your times etc and maybe someone on here can point you in a good direction for the experience you have?

I'm actually not interested in this company in the slightest, but your rundown is pretty accurate of why it's frustrating to me. You understand most of it, but what you're missing about my frustration is that there are very seldom GOOD reasons not to trust a company, just some random dude over the internet saying a company is no good. Do you fully follow every piece of advice you're given, or do you take it all with a grain of salt? Mileage with any company may vary.

With the market being saturated by pilots, these beechjet dudes wouldn't want me anyway. Minimum hours really mean nothing anymore. Some companies post low mins to attract as many applicants as possible. The truth comes out when 135 companies want psychotically high minimums, type ratings and most of the time even currency in entry-level turbine aircraft.

Thank you for the offer, I'd rather not post that publically.

Johnny is correct, the FSDO is not the Better Business Bureau. You can't call an ops inspector and ask for an opinion of a operator. Even if you could, their limited scope would provide very little useful info for a prospective employee.

Otherwise I'd agree with everything else that Chris has said

I have called the FSDO prior to making a decision on a company that offered me a position. They made it clear they were not allowed to comment on anything or offer opinions. Followed by "but if it were me, I'd take the job". I have also had inspectors tell me while I was actively working for a company to "Get out of here as fast as you can, this place is on the way out and they will take you with them". So occasionally you might be able to get a little info out of them. I do like the idea of calling the FBO as well. My limited experience tells me that any operation hiring low time (less than 1200 hours) has a reason for needing to pick from the low hanging fruit.
