Default Oxford Phoenix

Does anyone have any current information concerning Oxford in Pheonix. I spoke to a Captain for a part 135 outfit that flew for them as a CFI, and he said it paid really well. I did speek to HR 2 years ago, and they said that it all depended on where the pilot was assigned. General aviation versus airline students. Any info? Thanks.

I worked for them back in 06 and 07. I loved it! When I started they sent myself and 3 other new hires to Oxford, England, UK for 3 weeks to do standardized training. At the time they only had international students from Europe who were working through an Ab Initio program. I now have former students who work for British Airways, KLM, RyanAir etc. They were by far the easiest students to train. They studied hard and had tons of motivation.

When I left I was making good money with a guarantee of 2 consecutive days off plus benefits and vacation. A typical work day was 8-10 hours meeting with 4 students through the day.

Flying Pirate, Thanks. Approximately how much was good money? Some people say $15-20/hour is good. The part 135 Captain told me it was better than liveable.

I don't know what they pay now, but I remember hearing over $35,000 starting for first year, and you start with a higher salary depending on experience + ratings.

They may not be currently hiring. It may be good to get a resume in. They accepted mine when hiring was off.
