Multi Time building in FL
#11
I really wish I had more options build time. Paying is the only way I see right now. Although I'm not crazy about being a safety pilot..100 wet vs 265 an hr certainly looks very appealing The Louisville area doesn't have many options for a 325TT 10 ME!?!

Sure it is. According to Cruz they are doing it. So can someone give some input. Doesn't seem legal to me at all. How could an instructor log PIC without sitting in one of the pilots seats, without access to the controls. Sounds shady to me.

of course it is not legal...... How could one really expect to log flight time while sitting in the backseat? If you are sitting in the back you are just a passenger.... That is super shady and very desperate

I would recommend Ari Ben, now called aviator college. I did all of my multi time building there and am instructing there now. It might not be the fastest, but it probably is the cheapest. The number of hours you fly per day depends a lot on you and your partner. The slackers won't fly after midnight and will cancel if there is a could in the sky, others will fly every night from 6pm to 6am. The airplanes are all old, but the MX is pretty good. The current director of MX has been there for about 3 years and he is great, so the stories you've heard about their MX from the past simply aren't true anymore.
I'm not sure exactly what the price is now, it was about $80/hr wet when I did it aver a year ago, fuel prices have gone up a lot since then though. Even if you don't want to count the safely pilot time, you're still logging multi time pretty cheap.

Check 61.51 H and I believe they said it was because the MEI in the back was still providing instruction even though he was in the back seat. At least that's how I believe they explained it to me. Plus if the MEI was an ATP they could log it all as PIC also.

For people that want an update on people getting done from Atriplep or Time Building Central. The gentleman that has 5 hours can come back anytime and finish it. We have completed his student name Michael Lin. He did 30 hours with no problems or issues. He flew out plane from RBD to HND in vegas. He flew from there to SJX ,then back to Dallas. He completed this in 4 days. We had a few others from this same school in Denton and they were all happy to. Please go to our website if your interested in time. We want this kid to come back an complete. Thanks for everybody interest. Happy flying, TBC.

Time building central is a 2 pilot crew just like ari ben, or aviatior college. We also offer a program where the person can pay for the entire plane and fly with a mentor for insurance. They is no question on who is PIC. The mentor is just riding along for our fleet insurance. Thanks to all that are interested in flying with TBC. We have had well over 3500 happy pilots that are flying with airline or corporate world wide that have came through our doors.
