What about for the sake of the reduced minimums? Has anyone gone through this program and actually interviewed with the advertised lower time?

The consensus from the majority will be to get a refund on your money if it is not too late.

You would be better served with more multi time or an upset recovery course or a number 7 from Mcdonalds.
Every little bit of procedure training helps especially if you come from flying VFR on a 172. Not everyone is Chuck Yeager. If your confident in your procedures then you might want to think twice but if you know that you will have trouble or don't have the confidence to go fly an airliner just yet, it's not a bad way to go.

Steve
well it has been a while since your post, how would you evalute the course and the placement situation?

A great intro to turbine and glass especially if you have little or no experience in either. Most low time pilots find it beneficial as well.

Hey, it took so long for me to get back. I did complete the course and felt it was worth every penny. I learned a lot about the FMS as well as procedures used in airline training. I just completed training at American Eagle and felt I definitely had an advantage to those who didn't take the program.

They weren't kidding about reduced mins either. I got an interview and was hired with just over 500/150. I got called a week after I got back from the RJ program.

I always thought that an airline's initial course was where you learned everything you needed to know about a new aircraft. If you have to take a course to get ready for the course - you may not be ready.
