Safety Pilot/PIC time
Bottom line is I have access to a Piper Warrior in the Manassas, VA area for $110/hr wet. Have an upcoming job prospect and need about 60 more hours simulated instrument in aircraft(wish they would take simulator but won't). Need someone who needs PIC time to sit right seat(safety pilot) and we can split the cost. The plane is charged by tach hours not hobbs and by experimenting with power settings 1 hour of time in the logbook comes out to about .7 of an hour tach. This deal would work out only for someone who needs to reach the 250 hour mark or needs PIC time as if I don't fly the plane and log the simulated instrument it doesn't do me any good. Realize it kind of sucks for the nonflying pilot but it is a way to get time for $55/hr. Would like to make it all X-C time. PM if interested.

Gonna be tough to get someone to pay $55 for ASEL non-stick time. For $65 or even less they can rent a 152 and fly and log everything.
Also, FYI the safety pilot cannot log XC time.

Maybe, maybe not. If the person is local and they don't want to spend the gas and other expenses to drive to where that cheap 150 is located it may work. As far as the X-C is concerned if I left my medical at home I believe the safety pilot(now PIC for the entire flight) could.
BTW, as I mentioned in the previous post I can fiddle with the power so that 1 hr per hobbs is about .7 tach so it is actually cheaper that $55/hr. Painfully slow though.

So you could let the SP serve as designated PIC and do the TO / LDG and all other non-hood flying, but then you would not be able to log XC yourself. Or any other flight time when you are not sole manipulator.
Also you don't need to "leave your medical at home", you can simply agree in advance who is going to be PIC and that is legally sufficient.
Be careful you don't get violated using shortcuts that somebody at the FBO told you about.

Actually I called the AOPA help line and posed the same question to them and they were in agreement with me(I know they are not legal counsel, I'll try an operations inspector from the Washington FSDO Monday and get their opinion).
