Need to build time (less then a week)
Hi,
I live overseas and i am coming around September or October to the US to build 130-150 hrs towards my Commercial. I have limited time ( less then 2 weeks) and want to fly everyday.
Looking to share the cost with anyone interested. I don't have access to a plane yet but i have looked to a couple of them.
Anyone interested plz contact me.
Thx

I don't see how it would be possible to fly 130-150 hours in less than 2 weeks. That would be about 10 hours a day of actual flying. Combine this with the time it will take to refuel and go to and from the airport to where ever you are sleeping will mean that your entire day will be consumed with flying. A simple (and likely to happen) mechanical problem alone will prevent you from getting that amount of flight time in such a short period of time.
You could probably do this for 2 or 3 days before fatigue and boredom build up to a point that will make it physically difficult for you to fly. You either need to fly less per day (something around 5 hours a day) or you need to give yourself a day off every couple of days.

50hrs/week is a realistic amount for an owner/operator (who is fully in control of maintenance). And even that is a crazy amount of flying (BTDT).

Wx would potentially also be a significant factor in being able to fly that much everyday, but 10 hours per day might be taxing it is possible...5-6 hour flights in an arrow or 172 can be tough, but with good wx and plenty of rest you could push 10 hours per day for a couple of weeks. It just depends on the situation, your motivation and drive as well as being smart about your limits and not exceeding them leading to errors that could snowball.

Thank you all for reply.
Yes i know it is going to be tough but i will try my best. At the moment i am trying to get some more days from my employer. I know two pilots who did the same while i was doing my Instrument rating but they worked together as a team and they enjoyed it. If i could do 5-7 hrs a day it will be great and safety has the priority here no matter what.
Regards.

Trust me - it ain't going to happen. 150 hours needs 3 oil changes, on average 2-3 days down for maintenance, and there's no way you'll fly 14-15 hours a day.
You need to be more realistic about your hours.

It would be possible I think if you owned the plane and planned your route out in advance. If you bring the oil change supplies you can do it while you are on the go. Shouldn't take you more than an hour. Plus with my airplane, you have an AD every 100 hours to check for the landing gear. Which might be a full day depending on where you get it done. Your best bet might be to line someone up in a 150 or something along those lines and just go up and down the Florida coast.
I'd be willing to try it with you if I knew where I was going to be at in the future both working and financially.
