I'm looking at applying at Boutique. I'm a wet Commercial pilot with instrument rating, about 220 hours. I see their FO mins require just a commercial and instrument, so I'm putting together an application to them.

I haven't had a flying job before, and never been through an interview where they quiz you on aviation things. A couple of you guys specified that they quiz you on basic IFR stuff. Is this like briefing an approach, or asking what you need to file an alternate? I guess what I'm asking is what type of question is basic IFR stuff?

Scenarios are probably great too, do any of you have generic scenarios that make it in interviews? Any other advice for new commercial pilots?

Got an email just the other day that basically said "We want to hire you, but we don't have any positions in PHX yet so wait it out." So I got that going for me, which is nice...

I think that I was asked both of those questions. Some other examples might be when can you descend below minimums, when is a weight and balance required. Scenarios seemed to be based on "If your Captain did this, what would you do"

I got that same email in January. My check ride is Wednesday.

So basically go over the typical IFR oral questions that you get asked and that would help prepare for the interview?

Whats the current Chief pilots name at Boutique Air and his email? I found a profile on LinkedIn, his name is Keith Windham and it says he is Chief pilot, is this still accurate?

I received an email two weeks ago that they would like to proceed with a phone interview once I let them know when I was available for them to call. I responded right away and I haven't heard from them in two weeks? Any idea if this is normal?

Follow up to that email. I emailed them back this morning and received a response with a confirmed date within 5 mins. They are human and get busy. Good luck!

Hey all-

Anybody in the Phoenix area [or know people in the Phoenix area] that would be willing to meet/put me in contact with PHX pilots? Would love to chat in person with somebody with experience at BA and more than happy to throw in a beer or two.

Thanks!

Can anyone shed some light on this? Any idea what FO mins would be for SIC on a B350 at Boutique?
Commercial multi + instrument rating. You're competing against current BA pilots (potentially) bidding for that position though.

FO on PC-12 is 1 year from passing check ride. I just passed mine yesterday, I was first in my class to take it.
