Everyone starts as PIC in the props if you have part 135 mins (if you don't you start as an SIC on the props to build time). Airnet is currently interviewing, your best bet is to give recruiting a call and put in an application!

I've worked for AirNet for about 2 years back in 2004. The best group of pilots I've ever met and by the far the best experience any pilot can recieve flying night, single pilot, IFR. This is not a long term job, at least for me, but it beats flight instructing or flying for the %$#$% regionals. What I can say negative about AirNet is that it is not conducive for a family life, also the management and dispatch are can be pieces of work. I was not impressed with them at all. Nevertheless, it is a great place as a stepping stone, then to move to on.
Regards to breaking FAR's, I don't know about that, but what I can say flying Caravans in icing conditions nightly isn't what I call fun. It is very dangerous and I have had personally my fair share of experiences with Scare Net.
The guys who rolled the Lear, I knew both of them personally. Great guys, they made a mistake by being "frieght dogs"... I'll keep it at that.
Point: Air Net is great to build time, experience, and meet probably the best pilots I've known since the Air Force.

OK, Thanks. That seals the deal then. I'm not signing any contract unless I know I get to sleep in my own bed every night. I do appreciate the info though.

Nope, I'm just being picky if I get the dreaded "F" bomb dropped on me. If I can't find a flying gig that lets me sleep at home while I'm waiting, I'll just do something outside of flying.
I don't think I'm going to the street, but it never hurts to be prepared.

Colin, my guess(not being an airnet employee) is that they are going to want you to be at a much higher time, and to apply again at a later date when you have probably 800-900+ hrs. From everything I've been reading and following is that they're SIC slots are filled, and there might be a pool of pilots on top of that already.

I work at airnet and my guess is you dont have a great chance of getting called immediately but with that being said it wouldn't be the first time its happened. In the meantime however continue to update the online app and you'll get that call eventually it might take a few weeks or months but they'll call. Ive definately heard of guys with your time getting brought in for interviews and doing well enough that they were offered an opportunity for a class date when their times got up a little more.
Oh and as for the junior bases. There is no such thing at airnet. A base either has someone flying its particular run or it doesn't. If it doesn't then it's open for bid. seniority determines who wins the bid but, what bases come open and when they come open is almost completely unpredictable.
