Default Part 135 or 121

At what point does a cargo operation have to be a 121 operation?

How about an all pax operation?

Is is based on payload or number of seats?

Thanks guys.

Can't remember off hand but Richie Lengle's Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot has a pretty good and detailed explanation on all that happy horse crap.

I'd say CV5800 needs to update his copy of the FARs. While it used to be a straight 30 passenger seats or less, when Part 119 came out it got complicated. If it's a charter flight, PAX set the route and schedule, it's 30 PAX seats or less. If it's a scheduled operation, airline says, "We're going from A to B at 9am," it's 9 PAX seats or less.

And it's 7500 or less. Computers need a less than or equal to sign.
