Striker,

Also, I'd wager a fair to good chance of openings in north-of-BOS markets... RUT, RKD, SLK. High credit, high workload, and heavy wx ops.

Oh yeah. Did my time in the north country. To anyone interested in getting on and doing that flying: That area will eat your lunch, but it's amazing experience. I loved the challenge up there; you really have to think on your feet during weather days. Coming into RUT, SLK, or LEB, you're working off hour-old weather information, and more often than not you're the only guy trying to get in. Just have to press ahead and see what there is to see, and make sure to have plans B through F sorted out in your head. Oh, and try not to scare the 9 people behind you in the process.

Loved it, but the 14+ hour days were starting to wear on me. I highly recommend doing a season up there, though.

I recommend not doing north country. It'll turn your hair grey. Right BDES. Haha

robthree / NightIP,

Thanks for the heads up. I live in NH, so I have an idea of what your talking about. A few of my buddys had the NH/upstate NY lines this winter for Cape and def. said you have got to be on your toes. I just got the pool update email from Cape today ... hopefully a class date in the near future. How

Ted-

What is this pool update email you speak of? Have yet to receive one...

I'd be all over that N-of-Boston flying if that came up. Love the flying, love the area, would love to do it!

RKD... man that was the easiest flying I have done in my life, besides the carib, but the 4 days on 4 days off schedule made it even easier than that. Now RUT, we have a expert here on that airport, and he can tell you just how challenging it is.

Ugh, got the update too. Sounds like there's 8 captains in front of me... Looks like it might be a while... :-/ Let's hope things pick up soon! I was really hoping to start there this year sometime...
