Thanks for your reply. The idea is to commute to South Florida but trying to balance how feasible it’d be and how much it will cost me. How do you apply to the spirit program? And how long is the flow assuming you meet the req?

It would be a weekly commute to an in base crash pad - and fly commuting on a duty day isn’t generally possible. A 4 on 4 off schedule is typical.

Do you have any more details on the Spirit Program? Is it just a guarantee interview at spirit or is it a more favorable interview? Also has there been a good success rate? Thanks

Well Cape has kcm/cass so no cost for flights. But unless you move to your base you’ll have to maintain a crash pad wherever you’re coming from (with the possible exception of Billings flying where everyone is based in Billings and get outstation hotels.)

From FL you could commute to San Juan Boston or St Louis reasonably... but would kill some of your off time.

I believe Spirit requires 2 years service in good standing as a captain...

Thanks, yes I assumed they have CASS. Meant how much will cost me leaving money on the table for commuting . I’ll look up at the options you told me for commuting. How attainable is a Boston base as a new hire ?

Anyone here currently mid-west based? Looks like Cape just lost their DEC route to Skywest. Have a couple of questions about the other bases before I go into my January class.

Going over the hiring requirements it says a degree is preferred, do most of the new hires have one?
