How did the AF crash have anything to do with the thread?

Default A sad day that has been coming.

As an ex-starchecker I'm sad to see this day finally arrive. USC was very dependant on checks when I was there (95-99) and I knew it would be hard for them to wean themselves off that gravy train. I flew through MDW for a good portion of my piston and jet careers at USC. Good luck to all the folks that are going out on the street, you've got good experience, keep your heads up and your resumes up to date.

Not sure if this has been said yet, but we opened a new base up in Dallas. 5 new runs, 7 positions. Helped with some of the furloughing.

New base? I remember talking to a starchecker years ago when they had a Lear 35 and about 3 or 4 barons based at DAL. Got any more details about the 5 runs such as equipment and airport to be used?

The runs are mostly Baron, but a couple are Navajo. The base is ADS which i believe is Addison(sp), TX.

The Lear is going to stay in DAL for the near future but the props will be out of ADS. Also had another run open in HOU, Baron only. The ADS runs will go to scenic places like TYR, MSY, SHV, AUS, SAT, ABI, DWH, and MLU.
