turbinepilot2, thanks for responding. I'm sorry you has a bad experience at some crappy 135 operater. Good luck in your career. That's not how Tri State operates.

So I guess your not looking for a job.

Did my CRJ systems initial at Flight Safety with a couple of their guys going through as well. They seemed to think well of the operation and the layout in the 850 looked nice.

I am not a former or present employee of Tri-Sts but pop-up charter is notorious for long duty days and stressful sits. Not looking to get back in. People should know what they are getting into at least.

Never flew with a crew I didn't like. But like turbinepilot2 said, on demand charter sucks everywhere. If you meet these qualifications and can't find a job doing anything but this, or you just really want to be ****ed off all the time, go for it. You will sit ready reserve, you will do 14 hour days, you will load bags, you will do things in a 200 that the airplane wasn't designed for (but never anything unsafe or out of limits). There are great people at Tri State and I enjoyed my time there for the most part but I'm glad not to be doing it anymore. You get the reliability of 135 on demand and the corporate maturity of a startup all in one.

I harbor no ill will toward anyone at TSC and I'd buy them all a beer tomorrow if I could. Honest people making the best out of a bad subsection of the industry. But it will always be what it is. Need to go into a job like that with eyes wide open.
