Dude, Flight Planning is easy….
I fly for a WUP provider and, along with my countless friends from WUP, Flight planning is not that big a deal. Flight planning is not that hard and it is actually nice to do the planning ourselves and have some skin in the game sometimes. We often do it on the fly the afternoon before, in flight, on WiFi, as a team. Sometimes, the morning of.. We will do the Flight Planning together on FltPlan.com, or ForeFlight, review WX and notams together, and then one will do the risk assessment, or FRAT, and the other will do the performance and W&B on iPreflight. All these apps are super easy to use and quick.
Granted, we do not have the after trip paperwork that the WUP pilots have to do, yet, but the rest of the stuff is no big deal. WUP Pilots, I believe, have bigger fish to fry first before they get around to asking for 121 and Netjets-style releases. And that’s coming from a ton of former 121 pilots, not just Regional alumni. 7 and 7 schedule industry standard….? Now, we’re talking. But I am on a 15/13 schedule and never would go back, unless it was a 14/14 schedule, of course. 😝

LOL...
I'd be honored to join the group, but for your sake and mine, I hope not; Every merger that I had been a part, including one with Kalitta, of has resulted in a furlough letter... so I'm bad luck. Although, those stock options would be SWEET!
So how's the progress with the WU.P.A$$ going?

I bumped into a WU King Air pilot today who mentioned big pilot attrition rates across the different operations despite “big” stock/option grants. Is this true?
I guess Kenny better consider higher pay and incentives in this pilot market with the airlines hiring big time…

I had a WU salesmen tell me that at the latest east coast conference they were showcasing what they planned on doing to attract new pilots. Raises, benefits, QOL upgrades supposedly coming

Hope it is true based on what the King Air pilot told me today… Sounds like they are working their arses off.
