God I hope not.

All the big players in the 135 charter world (low tier/bottom feeders)...WU, Jet Linx, Fly Exclusive etc will always have people working for them for various reasons. However when things turn around which is already happening they are going to struggle to retain/find pilots. All these companies making demoralizing changes isn’t helping either.

Wheels Up is new to the pilot staff thing. They’ll figure it out.

They better figure it out before this summer lol. Word on the street is we should be seeing some sizable salary increases at WU, hopefully within the next couple months. Attrition is picking up big time right now. Right before covid WU and Gama were apparently days away from getting a pretty sizable pay increase in, but covid stopped that. Now it’s coming back

Is the attrition towards airlines? Or other charter and frac operations maybe? Just curious where pilots are leaving too.

Not sure which branch of the grapevine your info came from! Other than the usual mantra of “we should be making more money”, I haven’t heard anything credible about raises.

Also, the scenario that you’re describing is one of Management being proactive... 😜😝

Sounds like people on the DPJ side are getting squeezed with the XL and X fleets getting cut back. People in the XL fleet being bumped to the Beechjunk and not happy about it...

This is straight from multiple people in management/training dept. I’ve called and talk to separate people who can all said this is being talked about for potentially this summer. This is on the WU/gama fleet

Know about that first hand - still have contacts at the DPJ side of the house that I keep in touch with. They give me intel which is helpful in letting me know if I made the right decision.

Have a contact on the WU side, but he only just started on the KA.
