For the Gama side of the house - Depends on your other experience, but not likely. If you're right at ATP mins, I'm not sure if I would even bother applying. If you have a bunch of single engine turbine and Part 135 time, it wouldn't hurt to apply. All they can do is say no!
ive had my app in for months and haven’t heard anything. Also have an internal recommendation. I have about 2400tt 1700multi 1600pic and over 2 years part 135 experience.

I have basically zero insight into the hiring process/status, but curious, by months do you mean the COVID months or prior to COVID?

For reference here, I applied for DEC at Gama (Wheels Up) on March 17 and was contacted March 21 to set up my interview. I interviewed on March 23 and had my welcome to the pilot pool email on April 1. I consider myself extremely lucky that it went as fast as it did considering what was starting in the industry at that time.
6200 total, 6 type ratings, been flying 91/135 for the last 8 years

Weekly update call came yesterday. Sounds like recalls at WU are happening sooner than originally anticipated due to increasing demand. New hire classes are still expected to be September for those of us in the pool.

Anyone been through the virtual recurrent ground school at Gama? I'm scheduled in a couple tours and curious what to expect going in. Are we on video the whole time, is there video of the presenter or just a slide show, how interactive was the class, etc. It would be awesome if they retain this format so we can limit our time hanging out in Shelton!

I would say it would be a smart move to throw a bone to your supplemental lift to keep their heads above the water.
Wheels Up pilots have already been offered a return to the normal schedule. Bitter sweet news for me as a new dad enjoying the extra time at home. Not a bad problem to have all things considered.
I think the private aviation industry is positioned for significant growth. Makes sense to be able to back up what your selling with approved third party options.

Are you talking to the pilots who do as they're asked or management who see the big picture and make the big decisions?
