I've used it for interviews in the past.

Curious to know where you would find 1900 system info....maybe YouTube?

Any intel? Schedule?
Well, we have 2 1900's dedicated to on-demand cargo charter flights and we're looking at adding a couple more. We've actually been doing this for about a year now. So far all of the charter hiring has been internal, but if anybody has prior experience with charter flying (especially going in and out of Mexico...) then we would probably like to talk with you. The charter flying is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, and the planes are currently based in Denison, TX and I think somewhere like Omaha, NE but I'm not positive if those are the final base locations yet.

We're always adding 1900' (especially the D models) but we're not adding any new aircraft types or any more 99's, at least not that I'm aware of.

If you're in the April class then please, PLEASE, don't start studying random materials off the internet. I say this as Alpine's 1900 training program manager. Every single class I send out a complete study packet when we finalize the class list, and April will be finalized in a few days. The packet will have the stuff you really need to memorize first like 1900 limitations and emergency procedures, then the stuff you really need to study next like profiles and flows. After that I tell you to review 135 regulations, weather, IFR regs, etc. I have a short study guide for most of the key parts that includes information found in our ACPM and Ops Specs. Reading through the "EVERYTHING EXPLAINED for the PROFESSIONAL PILOT" book is also a great idea as I don't have time to go over all of that kind of information during training, it's basically expected that you're already a capable and competent commercial IFR pilot when you arrive.

What you really don't need to study before arriving is 1900 Systems. People have a tendency to teach themselves wrong when it comes to systems, and me and my instructors will make sure it's taught correctly the first time in the classroom so you're not fighting primacy in your check ride. We have a couple weeks to make sure you know this aircraft and we're very good at it. If you come prepared and know what's in the study packet before the class start date, then you won't have any problems learning 1900 systems over 2 full weeks. I trained 42 pilots for the 1900 last year and I kind of have it down to a science.

Also, congratulations! Cole will be sending me the April list in the next few days and I'll personally be calling everybody after that to touch base and go over stuff like this. I look forward to talking with you.

Welcome to the forum, and to Alpine. I got the final list of names for the 1900 last night, calls will be made in the next couple of days. I’m flying Denver to Billings today and then Billings to my home in SLC tomorrow night. I’ll be giving and getting some checkrides, so it might be Monday until you hear from me. If you’re in the 99, my fellow 99 manager will be doing the same and making calls in the next couple days.

Any idea if Alpine has any schedules that run 4 days on 3 days off, or are they all M-F, 5 days a week?

How many hours do alpine pilots normally fly? Better in summer or winter? Is the north Texas base different hours?

If they run similar to Ameriflight and other freight followers, the M-F schedules typically yield about 50-60 hours a month.

Not sure about the charter side, it probably varies.
