Most leters I've seen give you a timeframe..
2 days, 7 days, 10 days, it depends.
It they don't specify a date, I guess its a judgement call.
If they need an answer, and you don't have an answer from your # 1 choice yet, maybe ask for a later start date,
so you have an offer in hand.

Half full or Half empty
Avaition is filled with ups and downs, probably more than anyother business. I had 34 years flying 121. So i have seen more ups and downs than I wish to think about. Over all the FB seems to be a good company to work for. If they have to ground a fleet to stay in business, then why not. No job is perfect and has it good and bad. Look at all the BK's did years ago then changing the age 60 rule, then COVID. Time will tell how these changes will do with FB.
I just applied and will see what happens.

Heading to my type school (CJ3) today as a FE new hire. Granted, I've only been through Indoc, but so far I am really liking what I see and hear. Excited to be on board. If anyone has questions from the point of a new hire, feel free to reach out.

I have a second interview scheduled this week and excited about the chance to work at fly exclusive. The benefit guide suggests that new hires are not eligable for health insurance until after 60 days. I just need to know if this is correct for planning. I'll either need to do cobra from my current job or get on healthcare exchange for a few months.

That old uniform in the pilot's wanted add
When I click on the add for pilot's that shows up when I am in this thread the pilots are wearing a grey shirt, no tie. They can keep the expected to be announced later today pay raise if I can wear that uniform and ditch the white shirt and tie.
Throwing bags, servicing oil, and cleaning aircraft is no place for a white shirt and tie. Fine for a 121 pilot that does't do anything except grab the release and go fly.
Go back to the polo shirts, and I will take a pay cut.
