ATR’s - Great way to stir up the pot but no. We could probably grab the 100’s of 145’s sitting in the desert if the company wanted to.
Possible routes are all currently out there on our website. The company does a great job marketing it. The company will grow, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a new pilot base or two in the next year but that’s just speculation. There are a lot of challenges when it comes to obtaining new destinations. The OG destinations are stretched thin especially on the real estate but they are ever working challenges.

If the alimony is negatively impacting your retirement, stop looking here to undercut this pilot group. Retirees and low time pilots are exactly what this company needs to keep pay rates from increasing. Since I left pay has not been increased. I flew with fos now Captains making less money than other RJ fos all because of the guys that can’t give it up. Give the next generation a turn. The XFAC committee is worthless. One of my old fos now Captain is a XFAC rep and I have never seen someone that cares about other more than him. Even he told me that he doesn’t think he can get through to the company about their pay. I would have stayed until FedEx or a legacy hired me but the grass has been greener and so has my pay checks. Management reads these threads. I know that me and many others would have stayed 1-2+ years if a respectable pay raise was given. Fos making $30k a year to fly a jet was fine 10 years ago. Today not so much. Their direct competitor Aero is hiring captains making $120k+ a year. They’re hiring retired and make more money. Go there. Until then, stop throwing JSX a bone by undercutting their pilots. You are undoing everything you worked so hard for throughout your career… unless you’re a scab.

Well, I need $200k/yr to afford the ex wife, 25 yo ex-FA current wife and two kids we had the year before I retired and pay off the 911.
Hows that sound?
TC
P.S.—I work for the most money I can earn. I’m not looking for a job to keep me out of my wife’s hair.

And more and more will keep leaving unless they do something about pay. If management really values the pilot group it would be nice to see they actually do something. I know handful of pilots that would stay longer if they got paid their worth.

I remember that one. That’s when John from HPN made an appearance haha.
I will say this. I speak to many pilots not only from flying with them but pilots calling me about our pay issues. I feel particularly bad for the FO’s and I want them to be paid much better, but pay needs to go up on all scales. It doesn’t need to be what these regionals are paying but it does need to be quite substantial. We do have a good QOL. There are things that can be better here but a pay increase is due for us. I do enjoy my time here flying the line but I’ve even told Flight Ops Management and the CEO the reasons why people are leaving prematurely. It could be avoided but like Burner Pilot & Minepza said, pay would help retain people. We won’t keep pilots as long as they want unfortunately because of pay and retirement.
