Default Question about JSX

Does anyone know on average how many hours an FO flies a month? And any advice in regards to the interview? Especially, technical aspect of it? Thank you in advance.

How soon after applying would you estimate a response?

I applied with JSX on a late Friday afternoon and got a response back the following Monday. Some people I interviewed with had a response within a few hours after they applied, so there is some variability there for the most part.

My guess is that as long as you meet the minimums, they'll get back to you fairly quickly, especially with the growth that is projected this year.

Speaking to some of the FOs they fly about a average of 50 hours a month unless they put them out for more days on. As a Captain I average 58 and I just work the basic schedule never changing what I am awarded. I am on pace to fly 700 hours my first year but I upgraded 5 weeks into flying so most all has been PIC time.

Default BFI

They just announced effective April 1 Seattle is now a base for pilots and flight attendants.

Also, they announced they are going to try to get everyone home everyday and to avoid any overnights if possible to save hotel and travel cost.

Great if you live in base but very difficult if you do not. There are pilots commuting between SNA and BUR because SNA is so senior. If you live in SNA but are BUR based and you end in BUR everyday then you are going to be either driving 2-4 hours a day to home, paying for a hotel in BUR or getting a crash pad. Most pilots that have to commute want to avoid base as not to have to pay for a hotel but looks like they may need a second home.
