IOE
For those in the know:
How is the training footprint after the TR? Will you start IOE in a few days or do you wait at home for them to schedule you? How loing is the IOE? Do you fly with only one IP or several? While on IOE do you get to stay in your base or do they TDY you depending on the staffing needs of another base?
Thank you for those who will answer!

FWIW I was also told recently by a recruiter the FO openings are LAS and BUR at this time. Always subject to change.

I'm retiring the end of this year. Is there part time capability at JSX? Can you "drop" trips? Are other pillots willing to pick up trips? Ex. Working only 8 days a month. I just like to fly. Don't want GA, PT91 etc.

Each day was easy for QOL though, most pilots are home every night, 99% day turns, gone for 5-8 hours per duty day. I had average months where I flew 8 days and stayed home on reserve ~5 days, so not quite as low as working 8 days a month but simliar.

JSX does not "exploit a loophole"
"One of the primary lines of attack is to claim to the government that JSX’s business “exploits a loophole” and therefore should be closed.
This is framed as being done in the name of safety, of course, though no real safety issue exists. Naturally they say their advocacy is for the public interest, rather than self-interest (though American admitted to employees their real motives).
But a ‘loophole’ is something that is expressly legal until it’s used in a way we dislike – or in this case, something that airline competitors and unions don’t like. The common connotation of loophole is some sort of mistake or drafting accident that’s being exploited."

Another option for 65-YO pilots, they also just bought into Countor.

JSX
Hey guys! My question is does JSX plan to expand their east coast operations to include FO bases along the eastern seaboard of the US? If so, any idea what domiciles are being considered and what equipment?
Thanks!

How long does it take to upgrade if you come in with 1500hrs?
Thanks in advance to anyone on the inside for assistance.[/QUOTE]
I’m still looking for an answer to this one — upgrade times/mins? I have 1700 hours, 700 of them in 2+ pilot jets. Someone said on one of these pages one could expect to upgrade in a couple months. Just curious what the bar is for captain.
