Great Lakes is Hiring!

Friend of mine that still instructs at UND said their recruiting team who was there a few weeks ago basically knows their future and just had a here so "they don't get fined" kind of attitude. he said one of the Chiefs was there and just basically rambled on about nothing and struggled to answer the question as to why anyone would go there. Just wants a quick few last pay checks. I'll say 75% chance this place is gone by September 1st.

Sure, there are a bunch of CFI gig's that pay more than $16,000 a year. But from my recent experience there are also a but ton that don't, and your also not logging twin turbine IFR time either. TIFWIW, just my 2 cents.

As a recent former CFI, I will say there is some actual merit to this.

As a CFI in Denver, I was making $40,000 a year. I'll be honest, while building up to 1500 hours, Great Lakes crossed my mind a few times but I could absolutely not justify the two months of no pay during training.

Google flight schools in Florida and Arizona. There are plenty looking. I have a buddy running one in Florida and they pay pretty well. Unfortunately, you're going to be working with mostly international students if you want that kind of money.
