As a moderator I think you blew this one. I read some of the previous...I saw very little that would be considered flamebait, and even that was more of a different opinion held from the majority.
As for off-topic...sheesh...some were having a little fun...lighten up and go on your own pink elephant hunt. The loss of a few brain cells is occasionally worth it.

There was a post before mine that was deleted for flamebait content. As mods we try and leave the forums in somewhat better condition than we find them, so if you see no serious problem it means we were successful. Any post that is removed by a mod remains forever visible to other mods as a check on validity of its removal, and all infractions/ reminders are viewed by the entire mod panel as well. All the mods hate giving out infractions and try to use nicer methods like deleted posts and occasional public reminders.
Good to know that there is some checking of the "checkers"

So it's been 13 days since the LOA passed. What are people hearing around the Commutair water cooler as to attracting and/or keeping FO's on property? I have an interview the end of this month and I can say this LOA moved Commutair up to the top of my list.
With EWR and IAD being the two main bases, what is reserve time looking like as of now in either base? I saw someone post a few back they have been on reserve going on 8 months now......that the norm?
Also, what is the majority of trips/legs in a given day? More 4 days or a mixed bag?

Looking at United's intranet/travel site, it looks like IAD is picking up Q300 flying to BUF, SYR, ROC, ORF, and EWR. We currently don't originate any Q300 flying out of IAD. Reserve, IMO, he been ticking up recently due to all the junior fo's bailing after the CLE reduction announcement. Those that stayed kinda got hosed. I think those reserve times can easily go under 6 months if we can attract people.
Trips are a mixed bag of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5-day and stand-ups. It's kind of all over the place. Our contract limits us to 6 legs a day but expect to see 3-5 legs on average. Most trips average about 5 hours per day overall.

Thx for the info Duke. Good to hear things seem to be going well so far. Is 6 per class a reasonable number you think or is that still slim for you guys? Any word on a start date for the May class? Guess it's a crap shoot as to which base will be the least amount of time on reserve if/when new FO's get on property.
