There are currently 5 cities served by 3M out of CLE. 2 of them, BFD and FKL, don't currently meet the 10k enplanements/year minimum for EAS qualification. All 5 of them are up for renewal this summer, and the company is already making plans to serve the remaining 3 (JHW, DUJ and PKB) out of IAD on the Saab. All that depends on whether the company plans on even trying to keep the contract for the remaining cities after this year. We are having major staffing issues over here as well.

First Look: Cleveland Before and After United's De-Hubbing

Actually 3x to BWI, and you can see all the other changes on this site.

I received a call from CommutAir last week to schedule an interview. Was told to expect travel arrangements and PRIA paperwork via email the following day. Never received it. My interview is scheduled later this week. Tried to call/email HR to confirm and let them know I didn't get the email and cant get a response. Not sure if I should take two days off from work or not (which needs to be at least two days in advance at my current job). Any suggestions?

I don't fly for Commutair, I don't know much about their current situation besides their inability to staff flying and the CLE adjustments made by United.

With that said, is this the regional that you need to work for due to base? Interview experience is huge, but what is it worth to you? How much would you lose if you take the time off? Right now regionals are being shifted around and I have a feeling that trend will continue. It's hard to say what regional you should go to but if I was making the decision for what regional I wanted to work for; I would stay away from the one that seems to be at the most risk and is not returning my emails and/or calls.

Hope it works out for you, but it seems like you might be wasting your time here... of course unless they are the only ones that called you and then taking the two days off might be worth it.

Enplanements have nothing to do with EAS subsidies.

Noticed that CommutAir has both Q200's and 300's. Also noticed that pay is higher on the 300. Are new hires assigned either a 200 or 300 in training or does the training cover both and there's a pay differential if you fly the 200 one week then the 300 the next?

You are trained in both initially and can fly both in the same day sometimes.
