Hey, I've got a closet full of bow ties, and not those pre-tied ones for the lazy/weak Bow ties were a huge part of every fraternity guy's wardrobe! We had some good times!

Can any new hires in the march 11 class PM me, I am wondering if anyone has been brainstorming about a potential crash pad? I lived in STX and SJU before and know the area and system down there very well.

My highly lucrative job in Iraq is ending soon and I am slinging paper everywhere. I've been flying helicopters over here, thus posing a break in my fixed wing flying of which I have 250 ME PIC. For you guys with experience in the Caribbean, would you characterize the living conditions to be better or worse than Iraq or Afghanistan? I'm not referring to the dry, dusty and occasionally hostile conditions we have here, but rather the lack of privacy, lack of infrastructure, and lack of basic facilities. I can adapt a lifestyle there just as spartan as here. I need a bed, a bath, fridge, microwave and Internet. What about commuting to Florida for days off?

The conditions in the Caribbean are worse. You'll have to sleep in a hammock and
fight the mosquitoes.

You've got to be kidding. Are you seriously asserting, publicly, that the conditions on St Croix and in San Juan are worse than in Iraq? Haiti is pretty rough but PR and the VI are part of the US. Barbados is almost completely middle-class. It ain't Manhattan, but it ain't third-world...
