Aetna, Humana, heck maybe Cobra?..... It will be cheaper than $1000 a month if you're young healthy and don't have any pre-existing conditions.

Probably time to try to dig out the whole story. One guys says 1K. Another says 90 to 300.

Hell, even if it is 90-300... that's still a lot.

My insurance rates have been going up steadily since I was hired 20+ years ago. I'm in the $270/mo range for my wife and me. $90 to $300 seems about normal these days. Not good, but normal.

Not much else you can do besides go without or having a significant other with better benefits.

It's way too much of a gamble to not have have insurance.

Which company do you work for? Sorry, I'm not trying to probe.... just trying to get an accurate picture of what things are like... This leaves me wondering what it would cost to have my wife on my insurance instead of her own...

Ran the numbers from Aetna for a young single guy it ranged between $50-$200
Married it was between $100-$400 depending on what plans you want.
