It also depends on whether or not you are a Capt or FO. For example, TPA is the most senior Capt base, but FLL is the most senior FO base (from what I've gathered at least). Its all fair game right now for FOs considering everything being changed down in FL, up north should all stay the same. If I were to guess, for FOs its about a 60% chance of going up north, and 40% chance filling vacancies down south for a month then eventually getting based in down there. Hope this helps.

No word on FO class. But between the Feb and March classes, i'd imagine they will meet their Capt quota and start hiring more FOs. Between Initial, Upgrade, and Transitions, we've got 62 pilots in training right now (hence the current shortage). And we've got the confirmation that hiring will continue through 2012. No official word on the next FO class. Theres usually a new class every 5 weeks, so the Feb class started on the 20th that probably means the next class will be end of March/early April and might be a mix of Capts and FOs. Dont quote me on that.

The rest rules may be different for us, if they even apply. We have an Ops Spec that allows us to use Part 135 rest rules, rather than 121 because of the capacity and weight of the 19 hundo. However, with the Saabs coming online (which cannot fall under this "glitch"), 121 regs are required, so who knows if 121 will be used systemwide or just for the Saab. I can't see it being easy to use both sets of regs (especially for crew scheduling).

well we had 11 in this last class and then it looks like there is only 9 people in there. I don't know if they will meet their quota but I am guessing that March will have some FO's in it and then April is more FO's. The ones to ask would be the 9 that are in class now and have them ask the CP when he comes in for the pep talk.
