Silver pay
[QUOTE=flypilot;3491715]Freedom2A answered your question regarding the specific payouts, which is accurate, but my understanding is there's no "contract..." If you make it till OE, you get paid, 1 year, you get paid.... so on.... But if you leave, you're not going to be asked to repay any of it or anything like that. It's open ended.
And Yes, 5 on 5 off.[/QUOTE
Can you give me any idea of actual take home pay year 1 FO?

My ultimate goal is being MCO based working for Frontier, Spirit, JetBlue or southwest. Does silver airways have any agreements about any of those airlines not hiring their pilots? For example I wouldn't want to work at CommutAir if I wanted to fly for United or Endeavor if I wanted to fly for Delta or the wholley owned if I was trying to get on with American. From the other forums it looks like they would rather take pilots from the competitions feed and I wouldn't want to work at silver if this was the case with those MCO based airlines.
Have you gotten any current info yet??

There are no agreements/flows with any other airlines right now that I'm aware of. But realistically, if you start with Silver (or any other regional right now) and get just a little bit of time under your belt, in 6 to 12 months you'll have more than enough time to be picked up by Frontier (I've heard of them picking people up with no 121 time, but if you have any, you'll get picked up by them).

Bare minimum - $52/hr * 75 hours (min guarantee) *12 months = $46800 + Bonuses (believe $2500 after passing initial training, and $4500 seasonal) = $53800. But that's bare minimum and doesn't include per diem, you're going to average more that 75 hours a month, and there is a 10% override if you're flying passengers and 30% override if you're flying boxes. If you want to make money here, you can, maybe not as much as other airlines... But IMHO, quality of life is really great, you're home in your own bed almost every night. So if you're looking to go on overnights and stay in hotels, this isn't the place for you, but if you want to be home pretty much every night, it's a great place.
