That seems like a bit of an unfair statement.

Sorry, I assumed you had higher aspirations. Or is SWA, Alaska and the like your goal since they only have one fleet type?

Sure is tough learning a new airplane without a head start.

You are 100% correct. I was a bit salty after meeting one of the guys from the December class who made a complete ass of himself to our class. I apologize for acting like that. Faux pas on my behalf.

You and I both know this isn't like most 121 training ops. Is it nessicary, no, but it sure does make it much easier...

As I said in the above post, I should have chosen my words more closely, as the statement was not to be directed to the class as a whole. My bad on that one.

And by the way, I understand you have your side to the "story" but your digging yourself your own grave if you keep slandering them. Isn't this the same company that gave you a $1,000 bonus for no reason? By speaking poorly of the airline, you speak poorly of the people who work there (including us pilots). The training and flight dept does in fact know what's said on these forums, and word gets around. I'd keep my mouth shut, or else good luck finding another job.
HAHAHAHAHA! You crack me up. You will fit in well there, according to some of the post your fellow pilots wrote about you. They were pretty funny. Well, let's begin. First off, I shared my experience. Didn't exaggerate just truth.
So you have made yourself the defender of Silver airways? Why not let the folks who did this not only to me but the other pilots aside from me that they screwed get on here and defend thier actions. You are just a new hire who is having sanitized information fed to you. Now you say I should keep my mouth shut or else good luck finding another job. 2 things. If they do try that (and they will) it's called slander - written or spoken. Lawyers' love that stuff. Second, I have already found a new job. One that allows me to get my time built up so I won't have to deal with places like Gulfstream/Silver. Yes I told them what happened to me and they said who gives a F? We know about them.

Finally, my post was directed to the guilty parties that did this to me. Not to my fellow pilots that had nothing to do with this or anyone in the company that had nothing to do with this. Why are you on here defending these guys?

So if I give you $1001 dollars, will that buy me your loyalty? If your mother or someone close to you dies and I warn you in so many words not to go home and you do anyway, when you get back and then I find a way to have you resign or be terminated I expect you to not to share your experience with anyone- or else I will mess you up so bad no one will hire you. Oh and I expect you to find your own way home after I fire you too. How dare you put ANYTHING ahead of me.

Well I was one of the two guys that was asked to speak to your class about our training experience. I kept fairly quiet as I was exhausted and in a hurry to see the chief pilot so if I came across as an ass then I am thoroughly embarrassed and apologize I came across the wrong way.

I should be back in town for IOE either Monday or Wednesday night so if anyone from the January class wants to give me a second shot at being helpful, I'll come well rested with coffee in hand to answer as many questions as I can. Just PM me.

Edit: And glad to hear I'm not the ass but my offer still stands!

Oh no no no, you guys were cool! This all happened before you two stopped by. Honestly, you guys answered as many questions as you could and they were very helpful. In no way did you come across as an ass.

A few days prior to your arrival somebody stated "Nobody helped me, so why would I help you?" and then proceeded to point to a diagram of the electrical system and started to quiz people on it. (this is before we had even gotten to electrical). Just had a condescending tone throughout....

I am 100% sorry if you thought in any way I was referring to you or your sim partner. Again, congrats on passing the checkride and have fun on IOE!

Hockey, actually I worked there longer than a month and did recieve my compensation. The pilots that I met at silver(new hires) were nice. From what I can tell, most had LOW TIME, other were taking advantage of the oppurtunity to upgrade-quick. I appreciated the honesty of the Captains and First Officers that worked there. they shared information with us that well, I not going to get into it cause it will cause another fecal atmospheric disturbance. But I will say they were 100% right.

Yes, I should have known. But that girl told me she had changed. My mama said she didn't. I always listened to my mama cept this time. But she told me once that life is like a box of chocolates....lol

I will be doing IOE in FLL but am still waiting on a base assignment. It's a good thing I'm single and can move everything I own in my car.

Congratulations on moving on. While I disagree with you on your outlook on the training and the company I can be happy for you that you aren't on the street like so many in this day and age. Good luck!
