I don’t work there, but word on the street is they are working on a new contract this month. I think the current contract doesn’t allow pilots to fly the new ATR-72. Lot of little changes already happening that the pilots have notice and appreciate. Rumor is the pay is going to be right up there with the top 4 regionals. But as I said I don’t work there and this is all second and third hand pilot talk, so take it for what it’s worth. Maybe someone who works there can chime in.

I did the EAP and it worked out really well. I believe we’re still offering it.

1) Phone interview with a Silver Airways recruiter; this is basically an initial screening to see if you meet the minimum qualifications; certificates, flight hours, 1st class medical, FCC license, passport, etc. The recruiter may ask a few questions similar to: Why do you want to work at Silver? What do like about flying? What don't you like about flying?
2) Online test: you will be emailed a link to an online test consisting of 40 questions with a time limit of 45 minutes. The questions are on Jepp charts, IFR regs, airspace, holding procedures, speeds limits, METAR/TAF. Straight forward questions no gotchas.
3) Interview in KFLL or Skype Interview: usually with the Chief Pilot and a recruiter and possibly HR. Verify qualifications. Questions similar to: Why do you want to work for Silver? What do you expect from your employer? What does professionalism/leadership mean to you? TMAAT: How did you handle a conflict with CA/FO? Describe a difficult situation while flying and how did you handle it? How did you handle a disagreement with a coworker? Describe a time you went above and beyond for a passenger.
You will usually receive a response from the company about a week after the interview.
