I was the HR phone interview. Was very honest and straight forward. The lady was very pleasant to talk to and I actually enjoyed it. Only thing I can say is just be yourself and you would be fine. I think what experience you do or don't have is what will make you get the call or not.

Those I can't really answer. From what I know most are day trips with a few overnights here and there. Was told TPA was a senior base but people on here say it is junior, so not sure about that. I can tell you commuting sucks, did it for 2 years and did not like it.

With the new proposed Endeavor TA and ATL being a relatively painless commute from most places in FL, why not give them serious consideration?

Most of the overnights are in MCO base so you could 3 day or 4 day trips. Reserve in MCO is about 2 months and is a 90 minutes call out so I won’t recommend to drive from JAX to MCO you will not make it ontime for the trip on rav if they call you. Most of the time scheduling calls you or assign the trip few days prior but sometimes you can get the call in that 90 minutes window. We have overnights in FLL, TPA, PBI and EYW.

Sounds like you are at Silver. Out of training what base should one expect? People on here said TPA was junior but HR told me that FLL was.

FLL I saw people getting the base out of training last couple of classes. It used to be the senior senior base but apparently not anymore. Compare to MCO and TPA is still the senior base but may be for the FO side is not anymore. Captain side is senior. I work at Silver and is a good place with awesome people. Excellent pilot group.

I got the feeling it was a good pilot group. HR was honest with me which is a plus. I know I will eventually get TPA, maybe I get lucky, even MCO would work as I have a place to stay. If I get FLL I will just have to suck it up. Hoping not long for an upgrade, have plenty of time and over 1000 121. Just have to see what happens.

Well if you don’t want to be FLL base for sure you will get MCO orTPA because are the most jr bases compared to FLL. The people that I told you that got FLL they bid FLL because they live in South Florida and I was suprised that they got it. Upgrade here with prior 121 I hve seen at least three pilots that got the upgrade in about 6 months working for Silver. You just have to put the bid and leave it there. Most of the FO here they don’t have the 1,000 hours 121 yet.
