Ok here is the current deal at Silver for those who want to know,
Currently Silver does have 4 FOs upgrading this month. Good guys and will go to DC
And word around house is possible more in September...
The company shows around a 140 or so current pilots, with 20 in training.
Union and company are about to do a letter of agreement to increase pilot pay because everyone is jumping ship from silver. But still pending due to vote.
Ontime performance is **** and is at best 50% most days if not worst.
Everyday unless you are first flight of the day will be delayed 2 or more hours.
Currently any pick up below your 75 hour guarantee- is working free for Silver
Current D.O. is "retiring"
Bases are FLL, MCO, TPA, IAD
All new hires are/should be going to IAD but you never know. CEO came in my class and told all of us we would be going up and everyone got FLL.
FAs are quitting by the motherload, and we are running short on them.
We do not have GPS or FMS, we do Vor and ndbs. ATC loves us lol.
Do not commute on to Silver flights to work. You can but your regret it due to maintenance delays and flights being canceled.
Pilots lost -
April we lost 4 people 1 check airman and 3 senior Captains to Xtra Airways
May we lost 5 people 2 Captains and 2 FOs to Xtra Airways 1 FO to a 135
June we will lose 10 people 1 check airman and 4 captains Xtra, and 5 FOs to Allegiant
Not 100% sure due to them having to do interviews but Xtra Airways looks to take in a September class another check airman and 2 more senior captains and 3 FOs.
Personally I can't think of anymore fun facts at this time. But I hope this helps anyone thinking of Silver.
But to tell the truth it's not all to bad here ish. You will be more embarrassed on how they treat the passengers, then yourself. My only problem is the shear lack of AC and here comes Summer...

Word has it the contract was extended today. $10/hr pay raise. That brings first year pay to $35/hr! I'm happy for the guys still there that stuck it out. That place needs a serious facelift and the union guys are working hard to make it happen.

The answer is yes and no, again they are putting stuff out to the pilot group and then a vote.
There is more but this is what the FO pay for starters will be if a yes vote happens. There more to the scale for both FOs and for captains.
Plus a few more dollars if based in IAD soo yaa...
First Officer
0-50 Passenger Turboprops
Year. DOS DOS +1
Year 1 $34.00 $34.77
Year 2 $35.02 $35.81

At the moment FLL vacancies out of training aren't really a thing. One of their priorities is ensuring that Dulles is fully staffed before sending FOs down to cover Florida. You can expect anywhere from 2 to 5 months in Dulles, although it seems like they're packing the classes now more than they were in late 2015 / early 2016, so that timeline could change drastically.
Edit:
And since it's probably relevant, we got an e-mail the other day from the CP telling us that there is a flow-through program that we'll be starting with Frontier. Chances are it'll require something like 2 years as a Captain and 1,000PIC, but it's still a nice carrot to dangle.

Last I heard the Union is against hiring off the street captains currently and the company hasn't done so for awhile seeing as they currently have like 10 to 15 FOs who could upgrade. And if they take a off the street captain then would have to pay them all captain pay or at least most. They need FOs badly tho.
And I have not heard of anyone doing any trips to Cuba yet.
