Wow, the pay listed on APC for Gulfstream/Silver is abysmal. To the OP, good luck with your decision. You said that your *longer* term goal was to get into corporate... often times it is more challenging to move from a 121 environment into a corporate environment, due to the corporate/charter guys developing a prejudice against 121 guys. It is not a career killer, but it does make it a little more difficult.
Also, the type of airplane you will be flying will make it easier or harder to transition to charter/corporate. I don't know turbo props that well... is a B1900 the same type rating as some of the larger king airs? If so that could help you. If ya went to Eagle, it would be easier to transition to the Legacy type aircraft, although getting hired into a Legacy without any corporate experience would be pretty difficult.
I think no matter where you go right now, you will get some good experience. You need to build time, and so go somewhere where you can fly a lot. Looks like Silver's most junior captain was a 2007 hire, so you'll have plenty of time to build TT before upgrading.
Good luck and the key to getting into corporate/charter is to network network network. I made the move from ExpressJet to 135 charter and seriously regretted it. The charter company I worked for was horrible, however now I have a good corporate gig on a Legacy and am pretty happy =) This career is all about monitoring the forums, checking climbto350, and just being aware of who is hiring and the relative health of the industry. Once you get to whatever company it is that you want to hang your hat... then you can stop following the aviation trends.
Cheers,
