Somehow I get the feeling that with this 18 day off requirement, we are going to end up with days where we have no reserves scheduled and others where every reserve is scheduled for 4am to 4pm.
We need (now) different reserve availability periods, and if the company is going to insist on building standup lines, we need reserves specifically designated to cover those if need be.

Now I didn't spend 8 hrs but when I was the MEI rep I saw decent lines one month. I told MM the guys would like that and the only thing everyone would like to see was commutability on one end of a pairing if not both. Then the lines came out..... Way worse than anything we had seen for the base ever.

Very true, but it doesn't keep the ever revolving and new crew schedulers from asking.

I'm concerned as well man but what we can do right now is send a message by voting this down en masse.
We could argue until we're blue in the face about what SHOULD have been done but what we need to focus on right now is educating those who don't see this as a bad deal.
There is definitely a disconnect between our union leadership and a large portion of our pilot group, that's for sure. We'll have to address that at a later time.

For anyone that would like a copy I have spent a far amount of time breaking down the LOA from a logistical numbers perspective to show the hard truth, or an attempt to, from a mostly non opinionated perspective . I will have the final touches on it tomorrow. I hope to just present the information to whom ever I can within the pilot group to provide a break down of information that can be used as a reference point. If anyone would like a copy please PM me. I will only email them out to employees so unless I know you I will need some info to verify.

Don’t let the $69 rate fool you. Our fleet of Boeing 737s is loaded with all the “essentials” a Florida traveler could want. Sink into cozy leather seats, stay connected with free in-flight Wi-Fi and stretch out with ample legroom. When you Fly Florida!, it will be easy to finish that business presentation or keep the kids entertained until you land.
