That, and they should create lines that don't need 8 hours of work on them after they are made.

We need (now) different reserve availability periods, and if the company is going to insist on building standup lines, we need reserves specifically designated to cover those if need be.
I need a Scheduling rep for each domicile. If you want it, you got it... until you're dead or I find someone better.

Now I didn't spend 8 hrs but when I was the MEI rep I saw decent lines one month. I told MM the guys would like that and the only thing everyone would like to see was commutability on one end of a pairing if not both. Then the lines came out..... Way worse than anything we had seen for the base ever.

I really don't understand why those things haven't been implemented already. It's not like its rocket science, copy what other airlines do! Hope it's not a bad omen but before buffalo, colgan was still stuck in mom and pop mode too. 1 person in each department. You just can't do that. 1 person can't be responsible for say, all the manuals and the training department for a whole fleet.

We could argue until we're blue in the face about what SHOULD have been done but what we need to focus on right now is educating those who don't see this as a bad deal.

There is definitely a disconnect between our union leadership and a large portion of our pilot group, that's for sure. We'll have to address that at a later time.
Big Pappa hits the nail directly square on the head once again! Could not agree more!

For anyone that would like a copy I have spent a far amount of time breaking down the LOA from a logistical numbers perspective to show the hard truth, or an attempt to, from a mostly non opinionated perspective . I will have the final touches on it tomorrow. I hope to just present the information to whom ever I can within the pilot group to provide a break down of information that can be used as a reference point. If anyone would like a copy please PM me. I will only email them out to employees so unless I know you I will need some info to verify.

When I was the Scheduling rep in DUJ, we had consistent morning, afternoon, and weekend schedules. Of course I got stuck with weekends but, heck, at least it was regular

Persistence is key

Found this on their website after a bit of searching.

Don’t let the $69 rate fool you. Our fleet of Boeing 737s is loaded with all the “essentials” a Florida traveler could want. Sink into cozy leather seats, stay connected with free in-flight Wi-Fi and stretch out with ample legroom. When you Fly Florida!, it will be easy to finish that business presentation or keep the kids entertained until you land.
$69 intraflorida in a 737?? Hard to imagine this being profitable.
