They're not that desperate, don't you remember what they told us? Calld Shrek to ask if I could stay longer until I left for my next job without the few weeks of a gap, the answer was a big fat NO! So much for missing one day trip, and calling out sick once in the 2 years I was there.

I gave three weeks notice to limit the gap between paychecks and they didn't question it. 2 weeks is a minimum for your previous employer.

Congratulations! You have completed Module 1 of FAR 117 training. You have spent a total of 31 minutes in this module. This module requires a cumulative 60 minutes before it will complete. Your accumulated minutes will be saved.

Netflix here I come for 29 minutes.

What is the deal with the 6000 dollar bonus? Is there any kind of commitment or contract?

A new hire will receive the first half ($3,000, for those who don't math good) after successfully completing training. The second half ($3,000) comes after 12 months of active service.

Just a little incentive to keep people around for a little while. But so far I've seen most new hires come and go to greener pastures in 3-6 months.
