It already is. December is one of the busiest months for an airline, yet we are reducing the amount of flying hours. I assume this is for staffing reasons.

Winter months usually see block hours reduced.

You sure it's that easy?.....

Yes, I'm quite sure. I had never flown a t-prop before, and even if I didn't have prior 121 experience it was a simple airplane to understand. The difficult part is the 3 hour oral for the Beech figuring out all that performance crap which is 100% unnecessary, vs. the Saab 30 minute oral that was something like playing the game of "20 questions" and you need 17 right to pass...

This coming from a guy that played the system to get in to the Saab. Is it because the Beech is in fact to hard for you or is it that the Beech is below you?

Come on, 3 hours? Shouldn't be no 3 hour oral if you know your stuff. All that performance "crap" is necessary, especially on short, snow-covered runways. Any pilot who relies 100% on their Dispatcher to get it right every time is a fool. Mistakes will be made, the more you know, the better chance you have of catching and correcting said mistakes rather than sliding off the end of the runway

I had a feeling Cruz. It's funny how you can see right through some people.

Looks like it's official: hub basing is happening. Starting New Years Day moves will begin. DO just sent out the email.

Happy Staffing Bid! And may the odds be ever in you favor...
