P.L. Was the one who made the decision to do outstation basing in the first place. Convenient that this news comes out right after his departure. I believe that one is the result of the other.

Outstation works for small isolated hubs and when you aren't having a ton of turnover. With the whole operation connected like ours is, it makes zero sense. If they are changing it, it's because of the staffing and scheduling problems they are having NOT for retention or in exchange for something else from the pilot group. Don't be fooled. It was a mistake that has cost them much more in headaches than the hotel costs ever would have.

No, at least not that I'm aware of. The next aircraft to come on property will most assuredly be something other than a Saab 340B+.

I asked PL point-blank about that during recurrent in July. He wouldn't let on about any details. However, he did talk about there being an option of refitting B-models with B+ interiors, giving them the option of buying Colgan's old birds if they are out there. Be interesting to see what plays out for 3M.

From what I've heard, Colgan's birds will need a lot of work put into them.
