Ive said it before... This place isnt for everybody... There are more people that like it the way it is than not... And if it made SOO much sense going to hub basing why isnt that way now?
Oh thats right, because the people who get paid more than any of us to make educated business decisions are idiots...
I really get a kick out of those people who have left and come on here with this "see thats why I left!" attitude looking for some kind of validation for their decision...
Two months and they'll be wining on the new airlines forum...[/QUOTE]
More people like it the way it is?!? Are you smoking crack? You must be a Silver lifer in Lauderdale or Tampa and must have drank the Gulfstream Academy Cool Aid when you paid for your job.
And for educated business decisions. Let's see now. They buy piece of crap Saabs for a South Florida operation??? C'mon, anyone with an ounce of brains knows that's a bad idea. Let's face it, they're the same old airplanes from Mesaba with a new paint job. No APU in Florida?!? DUMB!! Drop the codeshare with United? Brilliant!! Fly 1900s that look worse than a 135 night freight company's planes? Outstanding. GPUs broken going on 6 months. Dispatchers that barely speak English and don't have a clue where the planes are?!? Unbelievable. Yeah, this place is run by a bunch of geniuses!

Stating that the Saabs are old Mesaba planes is no revelation. Since Saab doesnt make planes anymore they are somebodies old planes...
They know the 1900's are crap thats why they're going away. But as they do you'll cry about the downsizing.
Standing alone in FL was brilliant. They'll have a foundation of flying that doesn't rely on another carrier or EAS. Plus more opportunity to fly with other carriers...
Your gonna fly a regional jet in south FL where the average flight is less than an hour / below the flight levels and spend how much in gas so you can have an APU?

So you cry when you dont have the seniority to hold the seat or base you want but then talk smack on the guys that have stuck it out here for better or worse and deserve the spot they have?

The outstation basing discussion continues here: http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/re...on-basing.html
So far, 100% against outstation basing.

So as an airline we trade 1900's for (your words) old as dirt Dash 8's...

It's about pax comfort you wana use the Saab great! Then buy enough air carts at every out station or rent them. Pretty sure you're a Northern based pilot so it's not nearly as bad as down South or you'd see where everyone is coming from.
