I pulled the trigger on AirlineApps yesterday. Already got an invite to interview from Trans States. Wonder what this next month will bring...

I only got the email from MM replying to him and everyone else with a copy of his email. Seems to me that MM was the one that accidentally replied to everyone with his email that was not intended to be public. Anyone get an actual reply from him?
Besides, my emails to payroll make his look tame by comparison.

I think many people are unhappy with the SSB, I was looking around, and surprise surprise, someone jr to me got awarded something that was in the top of my bid.
I'm looking to leave, have a very nice prospect if it will work out. I think Silver will have to hire in the same manner as before to fill the exodus that will soon happen. Just hope they learn from history of what not to do.

Food for thought: My understanding is that this wasn't a systemwide reset, just a shuffle. It really only effects the BIL pilots, or anyone who is displaced. To anyone else, its nothing more than a pref bid... If an FO was awarded CA on the staffing bid, it's a placeholder, but aren't upgrades (supposed to be) awarded based on seniority? So if enough vacancies are made (attrition/new flying) to create upgrade classes, such classes would be awarded based on seniority from the top down, and those candidates would then bid for open vacancies/base through a pref bid (regardless of SSB award). My point- this staffing bid is useless.

What some don't realize is that if a billings guy displaces a guy that displaces a guy, that person now has displacement rights. Lets say there are no vacancies in a base for someone to upgrade, that displaced pilot can use displacement rights into a base where he can hold, therefore getting captain before someone more senior that could only get it with a vacancy.

They will start out with how happy they are to have been given a chance at P121 flying, followed quickly by how this isn't the **old** Silver any longer, followed in time by 'I can't believe the company would treat me this way', etc....
Sing along with me:

Be sure and come back on the thread after you've moved along to other opportunities and share your hard found wisdom with those new entrants into the game in a year or more. You'll be shaking your head at the wonderment of it all too when you find it hard to budge past the starry eyes!
