Silver Airways
I hate to rain on your parade, sandrich, but the Company and the Union just announced their plan to get all FOs their time in a private aircraft with a Silver Airways representative.
Check your email, guys and girls.

I think the "big news" will be nothing more than some stupid codeshare with a foreign carrier, and mean nothing for the pilot group.
Food for though-- the union's view is that if FO's dont like the current situation, theres plenty of other airlines out there to work for. However, they also stated "why would anyone with ATP mins want to come fly turbo props for these wages." Cliffnotes; no plan to help retain pilots, no plan to help attract new ones. Well, call me stupid, but either the company or union (probably both) doesn't understand the importance of an FO in a 2 pilot aircraft.
It seems to me that the company and union would rather wait until they have to spend thousands every day to put pax in hotels for cancelled flights, than spend $5 more per hour to the pilots for said flight. FWIW, apparently last month was an all time high with $70,000 spent in hotels, transportation, meal vouchers, customs fees, etc in FLL alone, for cancelled flights (a fair part of that due to crew shortages).
Want to really sit back with popcorn and watch a good show? Tell all the senior guys in FL that they are going to be outstation based in Pensacola, Jacksonville, and Macon (maybe thats the big news )

Curious to see if there will be some sort of commitment, whats to stop someone from saying "thanks for the free time, see yahhhh"
For sure, I'd jump all over that too, and I hate Florida haha. It was more of a "what if" situation directed towards the super elite Silvuh-fo-life pilots
