Gulfstream has been rebranded as Silver Airways. Is it just me, or does it sound like a new paint job on a P.O.S. car?

It's a new paint scheme on an old plane and if you think this place is even the slightest like the old GIA than you are sadly mistaken. People that talk trash are the ones that aren't here and as someone that is; I think it's leaps and bounds better than it's former self.

How does aircraft assignments go. Do higher time guys go into the Saab or is it based on seniority?

As a soon-to-be furloughed AE pilot he's justifying to himself his decision to go to G7.

Desperate times lead to desperate measures.

I know that feel.

I couldn't tell you whats changed since I haven't been here before the buyout, but from what everyone is saying it's better than before. Pay 1st yr on the 1900 is $19/hr. As for Saab's that's going out of seniority, but spend some time on the 1900! It has no AP and up north hand flying through the winter months will make you a much better pilot. Training is not to be taken lightly either, a good majority of us are being put through our paces. That's not to say we wont pass, they just won't give it to you because you showed up with a pulse.

If any of the most recent systems class can share how class was and where people are being based, it would be appreciated. Also, what do you expect for sim and IOE schedules. Thanks in advance.

It would be nice if our moderators closed the GIA thread. Its better for all of us to put the GIA name and reputation to bed.
