Supposedly the 2000's are what they are looking at right now and there are 6 ready to go. If it's not the 2000's then something bigger. The people I was talking to said they have to find something in the 70ish seat range and that is the only draw back to the 2000's. Putting together the training program would be expensive and a paperwork nightmare I am sure but if they want larger aircraft they are gonna have to do it.

I've heard that rumor along with many others but I think it's not even the least bit realistic. Why buy aircraft that were produced in such limited quantities when there are a handful of others with tons of spares and part's support?

You say joke but that was something that was brought up and it would actually be a 64 seat from what I understand.

Re-engineering a current turbo prop airplane for these engines is a solid 2-3 years out at best. I don't think VPAA is looking to be a launch customer for this at all. The "bottom line is this" how can they make the most profits with the lowest cost possible... Does adding different fleet types sound like a way of realistically doing that without substantial upfront costs with no guarantee of profit?

Just got my Rosetta Stone - Swedish Edition from the company. Why would they spend all that money on getting us to learn Swedish if we're not going to use that Saab 2000 sim?
On an unrelated note, I heard Silver is picking up some of the Comair 200's once they hit the desert, so we can have a bigger presence in ATL.
