First I love how active this thread is and what direction it is going. And also when I jump home it always just pop my head in and say hi captain do you mind if I catch a ride home and have my badge medical licence in hand in case they ask for it and if they do they have it all right there so I can go sit down and they can get back to getting me closer to home.

ALL SHOULD be offended. Jumpseating is a courtesy we extend each other. DO NOT assume the seat is yours. As much as the FAA wants us all to be jointly responsible for the flight, this is MY aircraft: I signed for it, and when the chit hits the fan I will be the one they talk to. So, do me the courtesy of ASKING for a seat.

By the way, when I dead head, I still let the CA know I am on board and have a ticket. IMHO it is courtesy, and lets him know there is an able bodied crewman on board in case things go south.

Is anyone positive that the ATP written is a strict requirement? I dont have mine, yet im heading to class next weekend... Have they not found that yet, or do you think they dont need it from me right away considering i'm low time? Maybe because I have my 121 dispatch, they thought it's pretty much the same info? I just want to get all my eggs in the right basket before I get any surprises during training...

I thought the dispatch written was the same exact ATP 121 version, except for some dispatcher reg differences. I dont know how that works as far as acceptability. E-mail pilot records or Lilly, you should have a point of contact in your offer of employment email to contact.

Got your PM. The Dispatch is the exact same as the ATP, minus some HSI/Instrumentation questions. I have the written done, I just dont have the certificate since I was 22 years old when I took the practical. They gave me the "when you turn 23, bring this to the FSDO" letter. I turned 23 a month ago, but never got the actual cert (dont really need it). But maybe I should just to have it... I mean, I can take the ATP written with no problems, it's just another $150 I dont want/have to spend right now. I'll give them a call on Monday when the office opens back up.
