Silver Airways

The average commuter pilot has it 100 times better than a commuter pilot did 12-15 years ago. BTW the reality of things is that a Silver pilot will probably find him/herself in the right seat of a major airline jet faster than just about any other commuter except the flow-through commuters.
It wont really matter anyways with the upcoming shortage, might as well have higher pay and a better qol. If you're up for a low qol or having no life at all, join a commuter. Honestly guys ***** and complain all the time at regional operators but at the same time they're not in a real hurry to get out unless delta or southwest calls because after all it does give them a decent living.

1900s will not be in Florida. FLL and MIA will be Saab bases.

I notice a lot of people tearing on the starting pay ($19/hr), BUT, the most JR. cap't on the BE1900 is 7 months ago (Nov. 2011) Then, from that point you make $33/hr. Thus! After only 6 or 7 months you're kick'n your buddies butts that didn't wash out at that regional jet carrier. LoL! Seems an okay deal. If only it weren't on a BE-1900's . But, as many have said, that wont last long. And, the Saab is a transport category aircraft. 30+ seats. You can parlay that for a good seat at a better op. from a life-career perspective.
Is 2000 hrs PIC in the Saab 340 (Transport Category) something a major would look at? Or, would this only qualify one as a very appetizing applicant at a jet regional where you can start all over again? What are the possibilities?
Sucks that they lock you in on the B1900 for a year.

Can anyone tell me about schedules on the moon? I mean, in Billings? 4 on 3 off? Return to Billings every night? Out on trips?

[QUOTE=ctab5060X;1224108]I have heard $18.50. No idea how many hours per month.
Thanks for the reply. Do you know what the pilot training schedule is like? Looks like I may be in the 07/09 class. Just wondering if its a 7 days a week thing, weekends off, etc. What about a training footprint? Time from Indoc to IOE?
