That's interesting I thought there would have been more.....Even without EAS there are allot of city's like Beaumont, Waco, Lake Charles ect.. who have invested heavily in maintaing commercial service and I would't expect them to go down without a fight. Not sure what if any subsidies are being given by these city's right now but if the package was sweet enough I think Silver and perhaps others would be willing to at least try a few 1900's and possibly a SF340 down the road even without EAS.....

All of these are good points. Obviously I want to keep sipping the gravy that the execs are feeding us about the future of this company. but, lets do the math...
-we're pulling Tprops out of the desert while other airlines are trying to put them in it
-we're getting Saabs that two other regionals chose/were forced to get rid of
-most of our routes are short routes (which is what mainline is trying to get rid off)
-most of our routes are half full, yet we are replacing them with larger aircraft
-these larger aircraft suck down just as much fuel as an RJ
-our existing fleet, and incoming fleet are both very old
-a lot of our routes are EAS (which is as dependable as Lindsey Lohan's drug rehab program)
-the rest are code share, and according to the rumors i've heard, United is starting to follow Delta with the "no Tprop mentality"
The only routes I can see justify using a 1900 (maybe a S340 on a few) are the FLL-Bahamas, FLL-EYW, and the Montana routes... We've all heard the rumors of the Houston and Dulles flying. If United isn't supporting the 340s in there to begin with, how does that help us...I really hope I'm wrong on a lot of these assumptions. Regardless I hope management has some secret plan up their sleeves that we dont know about..
-Also, one of our Saabs says "Uses 30% less fuel than a 70 seat jet" on the nacelle panel. I got a kick out of that...

I see we're on the front page of the regional forum again...
As long as we're here...to anyone who might be reading from Pinnacle and company:
I know that many of you may be in a very tough spot right now. Last I heard, Silver is still looking for street Captains. Obviously it's not for everyone but in light of the current situation at Pinnacle, it may be a good opportunity for a high time FO stuck in the right seat with no upgrade in sight. If anyone is interested, PM me and I will be happy to send them a copy of our contract.
Also I know how things go in this thread so I've helped everyone skip a cycle of trash talking.

- Someone will say something hateful about Silver.
- What will chime in with "Cruz to the rescue in 3....2....1...."
- Cruz will actually come in and also offer his support.
- There will be a few posts going back and forth trashing and defending Silver.
- Someone will mention PFT (hit and run post).
- More trash talking becoming more hostile.
- USMCFLYR will remind people of the purpose of this thread and the need for professionalism.
- Things will quiet down for a bit.
- Someone will post about hiring or flying we're picking up.
- Cycle repeats...

Looks like we put in a bid for Morgantown, Beckley, and Clarksburg, WV.
Some excerpts:
PDF Available here.
Some excerpts:
Silver Airways cordially submits its proposal to provide subsidized air service to the communities of Beckley, Clarksburg/Fairmont and Morgantown, West Virginia to the United Airlines hub at Washington’s Dulles International Airport.
Silver Airways proposes to operate these flights using Saab 340 B+ turboprops that are pressurized and accommodate 34 passengers.
