Netjet FO Pay in next contract?

????? Really, my NJ CA buddy has plenty of stories of the rich and rude lady and her snotty kids, that he has to kiss their a$$. 121, you close the door and those pax are largely the FA's problem.
To each their own, but I prefer more money for less work(both days per month and cleaning the plane BS.). Not to mention my buddy on the X is never at a layover longer than the legal minimum, and usually by the time he hits the hotel he is getting called to head back to airport and commute somewhere else. No thanks.

As for being called lazy, uhhh ok, thanks. I'm getting significantly more pay and benefits and time at home for a ton less work.
I did the whole Netjets thing for 9 years (6 on the X fleet, 3 on the G-550 fleet). Been there done that, you can have it. In fact, I just did 5 LOR's for Netjets Captains. Haha, more lazy guys wanting out.
Have fun loading the passengers skis in Jackson hole in the winter. I'll be flying my lazy, well paid butt in a wide body to Europe.
Cheers!

Exactly. I enjoyed my time with Netjets, but quality of life is unbelievably better at the majors.
Not only do I make more and have more time at home, I don't have to get coffee, ice, papers, load/unload bags, get catering, throw out trash, vacuum, wipe down tables and windows, clean the toilet, get water, clear customs, get unfreezable items out of aircraft if freezing overnight, restock, order and monitor fuel and o2, figure out how to get to/from hotel/FBO, etc., etc. Oh, and execute normal flying operations.
If you are already getting jet PIC at your current job, stay there until a major calls, because they will. Unfortunately, Netjets will never be as good as majors. That's why I left.

I'm not gonna go as far as to call you lazy, but how hard was it to order fuel? Work at a mediocre 135 for a few years, and Netjets will sound like an oasis. I have to do everything you post above, plus flight plan, find hotels, order catering, coordinate customs etc. I understand the appeal of going to the airlines, but 121 isn't for everyone, and some of us suckers really enjoy the private/corporate/charter world, and want to stay in it.
As for ordering fuel, you must not have spent much time in France.

France??? I heard women don't shave their armpits there.....I can tell you that it is a PITA getting fueled in a timely manner in the Caribbean, but I have never been to France.

Uh the only thing I am an expert on are the armpits from ladies from Europe.... I probably have more time with those than flying, should I put that on a resume?

BTDT. You may be surprised how fast that gets old. And skis in Jackson Hole? Piece of cake compared to some other jobs.

The work at NJA wasn't particularly hard.. And it can be a good job for you applicants...beats the heck out of the regionals and crappy charter...
BUT
-Sometimes bag loading does suck, especially in hot weather, or freezing winters..
-Empty all the stock so it doesn't freeze does suck..
-Doing the coffee, ice, papers is easy.... But not doing them is even easier....
Whoever called us 121 pilots lazy doesn't truely get it... The point of all the BS learning to fly, taking crappy jobs etc etc, is to eventually get paid as much as possible to do as little work as possible....
Nowadays some guy comes up to me(us), asks if if the fuel is good from whatever poundage dispatch sent.. FA's tell us when all 250+ passengers are seated. And when they are ready.. A tug driver asks us to let him know when he can push us back.... Caterers stock the airplane sometime when I am not around... And my crew meal gets served at some point in time, hot and on some white plates with metal silverware.....
Paid more, work less..... Cannot dispute that fact

The last thing I want to do is park my a$$ in some widebody for 9 hours. The more gas, the less interest.
I can live where I want and do not have to beg for a ride and then end up sitting next to some 300 pound dude who is boycotting soap for 4 hours just so I can get to Newark. Sure I can live in base...but I have been to EWR, BWI, and any airport in or near Chicago...and there is ZERO interest in living there.
Truly, NJA is not the everything and a bag of chips, but it offers a way of life few can offer for those who do not want to be 13,100 or 13,101 pilots. Finally, the absolute WORSE part of flying for NJA, is airlining.
F16..I am glad you love the money and EWR. I am glad you left NJA..less people to get in my way.
