Is NJ hiring FO's?

The amount of nonsequiturs in this article is really something. What does any of this mean? What does any of this, have to do with anything NJASAP is doing for this pilot group?

Real talk, what is NJASAP "hitting" on? I am genuinely curious to hear from the current pilot group, what they are actually happy about with regard to NJASAP and how they are handling everything. It all seems so misplaced and misguided to me. Not the least of which, you aren't in a real negotiation cycle, but the way NJASAP is handling every facet of this, seems to be wrong and poorly executed.

It seems like you have an ax to grind with NJASAP for some reason. From what I gather you don’t even work there anymore. It’s kinda strange. Did they screw you over or something? Honest question.

I’m not defending them or bashing them. I don’t work there anymore. That’s what surprises me about you. It’s one thing to have an opinion. To me you just seem a little over passionate. Maybe your like that with everything. I would be happy to share my opinion but what’s the point?

Apparently you don’t. I said I have an opinion like anyone else. You seem to have some strange obsession. Yes I check on things from time to time. Maybe post every now and then. I spent 18 years there. When I got hired we were Teamsters local 284. Captains pay was less than 40K a year. My last year there I made over 250K on the 52 day schedule. So 1108/NJASAP had something to do with that. Bottom line is yes the place will always have a special place in my heart. I watched it come from a crap job to a great job to now a just ok job. Either way just because I stop buy this form every once in a while to check things out doesn’t even come close with your obsession.

It's frustrating how often the NetJets threads drift off topic. I spent many hours reading through pages on this forum trying to get apprised of the hiring and training process so I would have a clearer picture of the days ahead after I applied. There's far less relevant contributions being posted here today than what people shared years ago.
So for new folks considering applying here's how the hiring process is going currently. Results may vary, but I'll share how it's been in my case. Applied on company website Jan 12, got email same day to schedule web interview. That calendar was full until the first week of February, so I initially had the web interview scheduled Feb 6. I checked the calendar daily for cancellations so I could move my date up and luckily was able to change my web interview to Jan 18. I'm not here to help anyone "cheat" their way through an interview so I won't share the details of mine. It was brief, and at the end of it I was invited to Columbus for the in person hiring event which is not the two day hiring expo that I had read about in past threads. Currently they have pilot applicants come for these in person one day events every Tuesday and Thursday. Company takes care of your travel and lodging, flying you up the day before and home following the event. It's a sim eval where you're mostly hand flying to demonstrate that you could get through a type rating without making them regret wasting time and resources on you. Think of it as a snippet of the last sim day at recurrent. If you don't know what that means you might struggle, but they might still hire you anyway. Besides that there's a logbook review and interview. Then they provide lunch while someone gives a presentation of their benefits package. Depending on what group you're in to start the day you're done between 1 to 3 in the afternoon.
I was one of 12 applicants there yesterday (Feb 6). Probably more than half were from the under 25 YOA and RATP holder crowd. Maybe only one had previous type ratings and jet time. One applicant was surprised to learn that all NetJets aircraft don't have flight attendants in the back to assist in the event of an emergency.
Will update more down the road as things develop.

Yep, pretty much what happened to me. Asked a question at the end of the interview regarding an airport that was listed as a homebase but had no airline service. Wondered how that worked. She didn't know, seemed a bit miffed that I put her in that spot after she said "it just does", said she would look into it and get back to me. Never heard back and soon after got the TBNT. Had thought it went pretty well up to that point. One never knows for sure..
