Currently new hires are waiting roughly 6 months before they start IOE. So why the company would keep class dates going as strong as they were would surprise me. Paying pilots to sit at home cost a lot. Who knows when the training bottleneck will end as there are a lot of upgrade Catain bids and those pilots are going 4-5 months before IOE

The new upgrades churn will start again in full force soon also. The company claims they want to hire over 900 this year to make up for the pilots they didn't hire last year "due to mx issues". They claim they have the mx sorted out and are done K Balling airframes, but those statements were straight up lies out of executive management's mouth in recent recurrents. Crews have very recently ferried working airplanes specifically to be K balled and the mx availability is much worse than they admit, even taking into account the likely under reporting on their own mobile manager web portal. Even if they do hire all those pilots, they will have to upgrade at least 400 to 500 current SICs and that will just keep the training pipeline wrecked. Plan on 6+ months on training pay as a newhire. At least training pay is the based on the 72 day schedule, but the promised FDP will likely be a big, fat zero for at least half the year and not much more if you are unlucky enough to get placed into the XLS or Sovereign. Still probably better than most jobs a restricted ATP can get, but falling behind faster and faster to everyone else.

Day one of Indoc to first flight could be 6 months. Training pay is ~$82k/year, if I remember correctly. No flight duty pay until you’re flying the jet. I think they had 15 out of ~30 go to SIC in the XLS on the last drop.

I believe there have been two recent classes with XLS assignments in it, and at the moment the XLS is probably the fastest way to the line although the FDP isn't there in that fleet. With few recent assignments to it there is little backlog, unlike the other fleets.

For the R-ATP question, I believe you are good wiith R-ATP mins if you graduated from a 141 school. Keep in mind if you're coming to NJA as a time buider, the six months from DOH to IOE is fairly accurate in most fleets. Add that timeframe to the duration you think it will take to get out. The training program has yet to adapt to the lesser experienced demographic, so be prepared to study.

They are for sure hiring at RATP mins (military).

750 good enough these days or is NJ still sticking to 1,000 as their hard minimum?

Do you get to choose your equipment? If so what are the differences between the various birds in the fleet in terms of flying and schedule?

It's 1000hrs, at least that's what was on the sheet which I filled out for the interview day.

Initial new hire aircraft assignments are at the sole discretion of the company. Seniority does not apply to assignments. If you choose to come to Netjets, be prepared to accept a 39 month equipment lock in any of the fleets. This is important to consider as you may be assigned to one of the older fleets where FDP may be practically non-existent.

Netjets may have you fill out a wishlist of aircraft assignments during indoc. Please know that this is not a bid and seems to have little to no final effect on which aircraft you are assigned. I have to talked to many new hires who have felt burned because someone junior to them got a fleet they wanted and had on their wishlist.

The aircraft available for each class varies and is dependent on current needs and training slots available. You may not even know what aircraft are in the running until the assignments are made.
