Im a 1600TT CFI/CFII/MEI with 270 multi. All piston. I was at 1425 when I did the video interview back in Febriary and my in person interview is in a few weeks. From what I heard from the folks helping me with interview prep, they plan on 900 pilots this year and have hired 60% so far. If thats true, theres still a chance. But it's getting competitive. I have been following AirlineInterview gouges daily and the people with my resume are getting told no more often than yes. I'm doing all I can to get the offer including paying for my own ATP/CTP, showing up with the written in hand, working with a company to help prep, and even renting a 737 FTD to practice the flight portion.
Hoping for the best.

I've done IOE for a number of 1500ish hr, no jet time pilots. I would say half are low time. The other half are mid time (2000-4000 hr) guys. I haven't seen a high time new hire (5,000 hr plus) pilot in a very long time.

This may be changing. I was part of a very recent indoc class, and out of our almost 40 members, I would say only about half a dozen were min time types with no jet time. Most were pretty experienced, vast majority coming from other 135 jet operators, a handfull of cargo folks, some regional airline, a couple from Spirit, and a couple military. I was very surprised at the high level of experience.

If you go back 9 or 10 years ago, I believe FOs in all fleets could fly from the left seat if the PIC was cool with it. That went away in everything but the Globals and then it went away there also probably 3 or 4 years ago.
